A premier Hong Kong floral studio is expanding its team, offering competitive pay and career growth for passionate floral designers.
A leading floral studio in Hong Kong has announced openings for full-time and part-time florists, seeking creative individuals with a strong design sensibility and deep knowledge of fresh flowers and plants. The positions, which offer flexible scheduling and competitive salaries based on experience, are central to delivering bespoke arrangements for weddings, corporate events, holidays, and everyday celebrations.
Role and Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will design and craft a wide range of floral products, including bouquets, centerpieces, wreaths, and custom displays. Key duties include consulting with customers to understand preferences and budgets, processing and conditioning fresh flowers to maximize longevity, and maintaining visually appealing in-store displays. Florists will also receive and inspect deliveries, monitor inventory, and assist with ordering supplies such as containers, ribbons, and plants.
Additional responsibilities include preparing arrangements for secure delivery, operating the point-of-sale (POS) system, supporting online orders, and coordinating with delivery personnel for timely fulfillment. The role also involves assisting with seasonal promotions, festive decorations, and special marketing events, while adhering to workplace safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
Qualifications and Preferred Attributes
While previous experience as a florist or floral designer is preferred, formal training or certification in floral design is considered an advantage. The employer seeks candidates with strong creativity, an eye for color and texture, and excellent knowledge of flower varieties, seasonal availability, and proper care techniques.
Essential skills include: excellent customer service and communication abilities, efficiency in a fast-paced retail environment, strong organizational and time-management skills, and the physical capability to lift flower boxes and supplies. Candidates must be willing to work weekends, public holidays, and peak seasons such as Chinese New Year, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, and Christmas.
Preferred qualifications include experience in event, wedding, or corporate floral design, familiarity with inventory management and online order platforms, and the ability to communicate in English and Cantonese—with Mandarin as an additional asset.
The company is looking for individuals who are passionate about floral artistry, friendly and customer-oriented, detail-oriented, reliable, and team players capable of working independently.
Compensation and Benefits
The studio offers a competitive salary with performance incentives, staff discounts on flowers and gifts, paid annual leave, and statutory holidays as per Hong Kong employment regulations. Employees receive on-the-job training, opportunities to develop floral design skills, and career advancement prospects within a supportive, collaborative work environment.
Working hours are based on a 5 to 6-day weekly roster with shift-based scheduling, requiring availability on weekends and public holidays. Overtime may be necessary during peak seasons.
How to Apply
Interested candidates are invited to submit a resume, relevant work experience, and, if available, a portfolio of floral design work. Shortlisted applicants will be contacted for an interview. This opportunity reflects a growing demand for skilled floral artisans in Hong Kong’s vibrant retail and events market, offering a chance to turn creative passion into a rewarding career.
